Someone the other day asked me if I thought all these Republican shenanigans with birth control and ultrasound raping and single mom shaming, etc, etc, was shocking. My answer? Fuck no. This is Republicanism at its finest. For years and years they have been hiding behind this “compassionate conservative” bullshit. See, people used to think Republicans were mean heartless assholes (because they were) so they had to pretend that their incredibly heartless asshole policies were really just a way to help poor (stupid, lazy, black, female, immigrant) people. But they’ve been spewing that bullshit for so long, that people have forgotten and they are free to come out of their awful troll shells and say what they really think, such as:
- Let people without insurance die
- Stay with your abusive husband by thinking about things you like about him
- Immigrant women should be afraid to report being raped
- Make the best out of a bad rape situation by having a baby!
And a billion gillion other horrific things. This is a dumb list because you already know all of it. No matter how much you pay attention to the news, you can probably name like 12 quotes from this month alone about how women should embrace forced sterilization and set aside their kidneys for potential mandatory fetal transplants. They are a parody of themselves. If Republicans had their way, women would exercise their voting rights by encouraging their husbands to vote. This should not be a surprise to you. If you have a uterus, Republicans would like you to sit down, shut up, have babies, and make them dinner. Republican women would like you to do all those things and join a book club where you can read the Bible and Atlas Shrugged and talk about how sad sluts who don’t do those things are. This is not a new war on women, this is an open war on women. Better start pressing your handmaid uniforms!
With all that said, are you worried? Can these schmucks possibly win this game? Obama is 20 points ahead of Mittens and 26 ahead of Santorum in lady votes. I think all this lady-hating, or lating, is confusing them; maybe they think if they talk about silencing women enough, women will just be silent. We’re a majority. And for the last couple decades, we vote more. My point is… I like it. Every time a Republican talks about whores, a baby feminist gets her wings…I mean… wordpress.
Ok this is probably the best rant I’ve read in a long while. Bravo. Its funny though, I keep feeling like some higher force spewed Truth Serum on the planet because arses from every ‘side of the isle’ as well as heads of businesses, universities, religious organizations etc. are suddenly saying exactly what they think… aloud! My mind says, “ummmm isn’t that the Inside Your Head Only voice speaking” .. and yet they keep on. What a boon for … well people who pay attention. A baby feminist gets her wings, indeed.
Thanks! I always assume no one will want to read yet another rant on the internet so I’m glad you liked it!
so many things to comment on:
1)”single mom shaming” – should single mothers be glorified? when over 80% of men in prison for violent crimes were raised by single mothers, the facts speak for themselves. throughout human history, it was understood that bastard children grow up to be criminals or whores. not much has changed today, though a woman can make more money stripping then selling herself. though that is a function of feminists supporting the prohibition on prostitution. their wages are discounted in order to attract customers who risk jail time.
2) the health insurance market is heavily manipulated by government. health insurance (HI) should not be coupled with employment. people dont depend on employers for car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, etc. when people lose their jobs, they get doubly screwed. secondly, it is illegal for businesses to purchase HI across state lines. a business owner in New Jersey cannot buy HI for his employees from Minnesota, even if its cheaper and offers more benefits. each state has monopolies. both of these things combined are the main reason health care costs are spiraling out of control.
3) why should people have pay for the lifestyles of others? if you want an abortion, pay for it yourself. if you want birth control pay for it yourself. if you want fertility treatments because you waited too long have kids, pay for it yourself. i could go on and on, but my point still stands. already there are (liberal) states that force insurance companies to charge men for the risk of becoming pregnant, despite the fact thats its 0%. it was just a way of offloading the costs of women’s medical care onto men. its disgusting.
4)i dont know if you noticed this, but the Republican base has shifted. the “culture warriors” have officially been crushed with the exit of Santorum. the future of Republican party is libertarianism, as showcased by youth voters. because libertarians actually have moral principles (unlike Democrats), the anti-war, anti-Federal Reserve, and anti-prohibition of drugs Independent voters are being sucked into the Republican party.
the fact of the matter is, there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats, except on social issues. the Republicans are neocons, and the Democrats are pro-choice, pro-gay marriage neocons. its why Ron Paul’s states rights stance is so detrimental to the establishment. if abortion and gay marriage are decided at the state level, the one-party state would be revealed.
overall, the future is bright, even though Obama will most likely win the re-election. the warfare state and the welfare state will soon implode and be done away with. once the bureacratic waste has been purged from the economy, the US can return to being the global economic powerhouse it once was.
